Led by a professional staff of experienced international educators, Global Classroom’s success is made possible through the enthusiastic participation of the 1,500+ New York City youth our program reach each year, as well as the steadfast support of their dynamic teachers, school leaders, and parents.  In sharing their unique global perspectives and experiences with our New York City school communities, our trained international students and Fulbright scholars from around the world (Global Guides) sustain and enrich our work in countless ways.  One To World’s outstanding network of partner schools and institutions, benefactors and funders, and active Board of Directors represent an exciting cross-section of internationalists across academic, corporate, and non-profit sectors. 

All of the diverse members of our Global Classroom community are integral to the program’s continued achievement as an essential intervention in New York City classrooms and after-school programs. 

[My students] have trouble relating issues of different parts of the world to their own lives, but by meeting people who have lived through historical issues in their country, I believe they are becoming more culturally aware. They are realizing there is a whole world outside of the Bronx that they never really thought of before.
