You are invited to an exclusive screening of Our Man in Tehran, an award winning documentary profiling the role of the late Ambassador Kenneth D. Taylor, Canada's ambassador to Iran, in resolving the 1979 Iran hostage crisis. Our Man in Tehran tells the true story about these historic events, famously portrayed in the movie Argo. Join us in saluting Dr. Patricia E. Taylor who, with her late husband, sheltered six American hostages in their official residence prior to a dramatic escape from Tehran.
Before the screening, there will be a light reception and and welcome remarks by the Consul General of Canada, Phyllis Yaffe. After the movie, Dr. Patricia Taylor, Ambassador Taylor's wife, and Douglas Taylor, their son, will recount their personal experiences of life at the Canadian Embassy during the Iranian revolution.
We are thrilled to be partnering with the Consulate General of Canada in New York, who will be hosting this event in their Ken & Pat Taylor room.
